My name is Eli and I'm a grade 12 student. I have been taking math lessons with Irina since grade 3, and this has given me the opportunity to achieve stunning marks in mathematics throughout my life. Irina is a very charismatic teacher, and I am excited for every one of my lessons with Irina. I have been problem solving with Irina for so long, I now find joy in solving math problems. In highschool, enjoying doing your work makes working easier, and I attribute Irina for helping find my love for problem solving. In contrast to learning math in school, Irina teaches me the proof behind all math I complete. This results in me truly understanding math, which is very applicable to school in many ways. Math is a very fundamental subject in school, and other academic subjects revolve around processing problems. Irina has taught me how to take a step back when analyzing any problem, math related or not, and find the solution at large for any issue. This has helped in my school life, and in my home life. From never struggling in Physics, to already knowing the entire Calculus and Vectors curriculum before stepping foot in that class, I have found school very easy due to Irina. Irina has made learning fun for me, and I have to commend Irina for making it easy to achieve great academic success. Getting a 97% in Advanced Functions would not have been a walk inthe park without Irina!
Irina is many things. A helpful person, a caring person, and really nice person, and fun. The best example that comes to mind is one of my personal favourite moments with her as my math tutor. I was given a question about some geometrical aspect of a pizza as an example. I was asked what would be 3/4 of this pizza, could you show me. I struggled for a few seconds and answered, it depends on the size of the pizza. Medium, large or small. Now all I recall is her bursting into laughter at the idiocracy of an 13 year old boy at the time. But I believe this example depicts her very welll as a person. Willing to always help and no matter what the situation is be there for you.

Being an eleven year old home-schooled child I had planned to enter high school when I turned fourteen and I was worried about my abilities to succeed in math at the academic level in high school. Knowing this my parents ended up finding Irina. Becoming a student at Solid Knowledge Math was one of the best decisions both me and my parents had ever made. My experience with Irina was unlike any other, she helped me develop a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and pushed my boundaries by challenging me to apply myself and solve tough math questions which evolved a solid base for my experiences in high-school. I am now in my second semester of grade twelve taking Calculus and Vectors, and it is safe to say that to this day, I've had absolutely no troubles with regards to high school mathematics in all four years. I finished my grade twelve Advanced Functions course with a 97 average and this mark will help me receive a scholarship for university and I have nobody to thank but Irina. I strongly recommend Solid Knowledge Math to anybody seeking math help for themselves or their children in preparation for high school, you will most definitely see improvement.

I have been going to Irina’s classes for two years now, and it has made a huge difference in the way I look at math. When I was in grade five, I was struggling very badly with the different strands of math. I hated it because I wasn’t able to understand it as the other kids were. I started my classes, and math started to become gradually easier for me. I graduated that year, and I have finished this year. I am one of the top students in my class, and I have received the honor role for my grade six year. As I go into grade seven, things will defiantly become much easier as I am already ahead of the rest of my peers. I am very grateful for Mrs. Verkhovsky’s concern for my learning and understanding of math. If I ever have questions I make sure I take them to her and she takes the time and energy to explain them to me. I thank her for her hard work and dedication to make me a better student.

I was never good in math when I was younger. When I started to take lessons with Irina, my grades flew up. I used to be a student who always got in the C and B range, but now I am a student who gets grades in the A range. Irina is a very helpful teacher and I am thankful that I am her student. WIthout her, I wouldn’t succeed the way I do now. I have been her student for 3 years, close to 4.
Irina is teaching my son for 6 years. He was extremely difficult to deal with for first few years. Main problem was he didn't want to do anything at all . We went through many teachers and nobody before Irina was able to deal with him. Thank to Irina now my son is one of the best students in school. He doesn't need help for school math any more and is going to participate in math contest.

Irina is my mother so since I was little, even before school, she was giving me logic puzzles to solve (which was fun) and always insisted on understanding why things work the way they do and explaining my answers. I think it helped me a great deal during school and university and now I'm a successful software developer :)

Irina has been my teacher and tutor for more than 7 years. She was always able to see where I had blind spots and fix them, if not on the first try then the second, or third or fourth. No matter how long it took, at the end of the lesson she made sure I understood. As my mathematical knowledge deepened, she taught ahead of the school curriculum so I was able to excel in school due to our lessons and I will be forever thankful! I had group and private lessons, my experience was sometimes challenging (due to material) but always positive because as a professional, she knows how to find the right approach to make the material comprehensible. She is tough and patient as a teacher and caring as person; a wonderful combination so we can always share a laugh and talk about life. She wants to share her knowledge of mathematics and make you understand the beauty in it.

Math was not my strong suit and I was close to failing it in grade 2 until my mom intervened (well, I have to mention that it was our first year in Canada). She taught me math and made it enjoyable. I'm interested in art and have always been a visual learner, so mom tailored the explanations to suit my needs. She used different things to help us understand concepts from matchsticks to dried beans. She also had us do really interesting and fun problems that forced us to think outside the box. With her help I graduated high school with better marks.
